9:15 | Depart for Miyajima by bus. |

Leave Miyajimaguchi Pier for Miyajima by
ferry. (10 min. ride) Arrive at Miyajima, and sightseeing on the island. Box lunch is provided. Miyajima, also called Itsukushima, is an island about 31km in circumference and 30 sq.km in area. It is well noted for the Itsukushima Shrine built on supports extending into the sea. The Itsukushima Shrine was officially registered as a World Cultural Heritage in December 1996. The landscape, including the shrine, has been famed since olden times as one of Japan's three most beautiful sights. Miyajima has many excellent swimming beaches and many pleasant paths for strolling. Tame deer roam the island, as in Nara. |
15:30 | Assemble at the port of Miyajima. |
16:00 | Leave Miyajima for Miyajimaguchi by ferry. |
         | Upon arrival at Miyajimaguchi, transfer to International Conference Center by bus. |
17:00 | Tour disbands upon arrival at the Conference Center. |
