Welcome Reception

Welcome reception is sponsored by Nippon Cryogenic Ltd. We are pleased to invite all the participants in EP2DS-18 and MSS-14 to the welcome reception. The Reception will start from 18:00 17:00 on July 19 (Sun.) at the reception Hall of Kobe International Conference Center on the 3rd Floor.

Simple foods and drinks will be prepared for you before going to a full dinner.

Cultural Experience

Jul. 21 (Tue), 14:00 -
Accompanied persons (mainly) are invited to a traditional japanese tea ceremony. The ceremony will take place on 3F of the Conference venue. To participate, please write you name on the entry form which will be available at the registration desk. Since the paticipation will be limited no more than 20 people, early registration is recommended.

The Cup of Humanity
Tea began as a medicine and grew into a beverage. In China, in the eighth century, it entered the realm of poetry as one of the polite amusements. The fifteenth century saw Japan ennoble it into a religion of aestheticism--Teaism. Teaism is a cult founded on the adoration of the beautiful among the sordid facts of everyday existence. It inculcates purity and harmony, the mystery of mutual charity, the romanticism of the social order. It is essentially a worship of the Imperfect, as it is a tender attempt to accomplish something possible in this impossible thing we know as life.

Excursion

Conference excursion will be organized in the afternoon of July 22 (Wed.). You are required to purcahse a ticket, simultaneously with the registration fee payment, or refer to the "Change and status check" section of the registration page.

Buses will leave at 13:00 in front of the Conference venue. The time appointed for assembling is 12:50.

Banquet

Jul. 22 (Wed), 18:30 -
Conference banquet will be held from 18:30 on July 22 (Wed.) in Kacho-en. An explanation about the banquet site is HERE. A ticket should be purcahsed. As for a ticket please refer to the previous expalnation in "Excursion".

The banquet site, "Kacho-en", is the flower/bird theme park. You can enter Kacho-en already from 17:30 and please enjoy a walk before the banquet. Please take a banquet ticket with you.
