Call for papers
We are grateful to announce that the 18th International Conference on Electronic Properties of Two-Dimensional Systems (EP2DS-18) and the 14th International Conference on Modulated Semiconductor structures (MSS-14) will be jointly held at Kobe International Conference Center, Kobe, Japan, July 19 - 24, 2009.
This is the 2009 edition of the biennial conference series that is now established as a major event in the field of research in modulated semiconductors and low-dimensional electron systems.
All reseachers in this field are invited to submit papers, to participate the conference and to have discussions. We hope you will enjoy fruitful time in Kobe.
Seigo Tarucha (EP2DS chair), Hideo Ohno (MSS chair)
Conference Scope for EP2DS-18 | Conference Scope for MSS-14 |
EP2DS traditionally covers the fundamental physics as well as transport, optical and other properties of electronic states in low dimensional systems. Now the low-dimensional family is expanding to novel systems such as nanotube, graphene, NEMS, and others. | MSS addresses the synthesis, processing and applications of modulated materials. With an initial focus on semiconductor heteroand nano structures, MSS now also encompasses the broader range of hybrid, modulated organic, spintronic, and biologically-based modulated structures. |
